How to hold a golf club


The grip is a fundamental aspect of golf, and can affect your swing and ball flight. So, it's essential to ensure that your grip is correct and comfortable for you.Here is how to hold a golf club for a right hander.
  1. Start by placing your left hand on the golf club grip, with your thumb pointing straight down the shaft.
  2. Close your fingers around the grip, with your pinky finger overlapping your left thumb.
  3. Position your right hand on the club so that the palm faces the target.
  4. Close your fingers around the grip, with your right pinky finger overlapping your left index finger.
  5. Make sure that both hands are connected, with no gaps between them.
  6. Hold the club firmly but not too tight, with a relaxed grip.
  7. Make sure that the clubface is square to the target.
  8. Adjust your grip as needed to achieve the desired ball flight.
  9. Practice holding the club in this manner until it becomes natural and comfortable
